The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn was Pink Floyd’s first album to be released. It was also the only album to be made under the leadership of Syd Barrett, although he did make some contributions to the follow-up album A Saucerful Of Secret. The album itself has been described as one of the most influential ever made as it had a huge impact on the psychedelic rock music of the time when it was released and in the future. The album was recorded between February and July of 1967 and was released on 5 August 1967 under Colombia/EMI in the UK and Tower/Capital in the U.S.
All songs written by Syd Barrett, except where noted.
