MTV Unplugged
Released first in 1995 by Columbia Records and then reissued in 2007 by Sony, “MTV Unplugged” with Bob Dylan is a wonderful live album documenting Dylan’s appearance on the show MTV Unplugged which was hugely popular in the 1990’s. Giving Dylan his best record sales in years, this album was most notable for the song “John Brown” which has only seen four recordings ever. Using mostly classics asked for by MTV, he sang hits such as “Tombstone Blues” and “Dignity” making for a more intimate album by great Dylan. Quite and meaningful, the classics that Dylan made famous in the 60’s and 70’s came to life again in this most excellent live recording.
