Dylan & the Dead
Released in 1989, “Dylan & the Dead” was a great collaborative live album comprised of Dylan himself and The Grateful Dead. Consisting of seven songs, Dylan was traditional in his singing as usual but with the accompaniment of The Dead, it provides an entirely new sound to many of the original songs that have been heard before. The album sold well and the fans loved the collaboration between the two, although as usual the critics didn’t. Even still, this is a must have album for someone who can appreciate both the rockabilly nasal sound of Dylan along with the amazing accompaniment of the Grateful Dead.
