    Audioslave is a unique American band that features all of the former members of Rage Against the Machine (Minus frontman Zack de la Rocha), and ex-Soundgarden frontman, Chris Cornell. They produced three albums between 2001 and 2007, when Chris Cornell announced that he was leaving the band. The music of Audioslave certainly has some of the elements of Rage Against the Machine, mixed with the grunge sound that Chris Cornell is famous for. Also of note, Audioslave was far less “political” than Rage Against the Machine. Their music is rhythmic, grinding, and intense, and it sounds so nice on vinyl.
