Live Santa Monica ’72
“Live Santa Monica ‘72” was an official version of the bootleg version of “Santa Monica ‘72” released in 2008. Bowie finalized this release due to the increased pressure from fans and critics due to the highly acclaimed Santa Monica tour. Recorded during the Ziggy Stardust tour, it included songs such as “Live on Mars?” and “Andy Warhol.” Thought to be one of the best, if not the best live album David Bowie ever released, it was sold in limited edition box sets but can also be found on vinyl. Even though there was an official version released 13 years prior, this version was released by the label EMI which garnered more attention than the previous release by Trident Music International.
