Changesonebowie
As David Bowie’s first commercial selling compilation album, “Changesonebowie” was released in 1976. It was a collection of songs from 1969 to 1976 including a never before heard version of the song “John, I’m Only Dancing.” Two of the tracks “Ziggy Stardust” and “Suffragette City” had never been released as singles until “Changesonebowie” was released which was used specifically to promote this album. Ranked at #425 on the Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list, this album is an excellent compilation of Bowie’s best hits to date. What made this vinyl extra special was the cover shot which was taken by Tom Kelley who was known for the nude calendar photos he took of Marilyn Monroe. Commercially successful, “Changesonebowie” is a classic album that really highlights Bowie at his best.
