Brian Setzer
Grammy Award-winning artist Brian Setzer has had a full and impressive career, based largely on his ability to brilliantly resurrect youth-oriented music of the past. He found success with the rockabilly revival group the Stray Cats in the early ’80s, then returned in the mid ’90s with the swinging 17-piece Brian Setzer Orchestra. But at the core of it all is a guitarist with some serious chops. He even has a signature-model Gretsch and is the first player since Chet Atkins to receive this honor. In the true spirit of revival, there is no better way to “Stray Cat Strut” or “Jump, Jive an’ Wail” than listening to Setzer on vinyl.
