Cheap Trick
As a popular band in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Cheap Trick was a great hard edged yet melodic pop group that combined some of the best lyrics with the speed and energy of punk rock. Cheap Trick is still together today and tours consistently, but it was their music of the 1980’s that is best known. With songs such as “Surrender,” “The Flame” and “I Want You to Want Me” they were one of the original “hair bands” that made hard rock so popular, even if they never considered themselves a hard rock band. Cheap Trick has remained extremely popular in Japan where they are considered superstars. With four decades of touring, Cheap Trick is still amazing to listen to on vinyl as well.
