The Righteous Brothers
This blue-eyed soul duo is responsible for some of the most famous songs of all time: “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,” “Unchained Melody,” and “(You’re My) Soul and Inspiration.” Comprised of two powerful vocalists, Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, the Righteous Brothers recorded between 1963 and 1975. They were initially part of Phil Spector’s Philles Records roster and worked with the producer on their earlier recordings. Though personal problems would come between them and Spector, the duo would continue to employ his Wall of Sound studio technique themselves. Between their exceptional vocals and stunning production, the Righteous Brothers are absolutely dazzling on vinyl.
