Teddy Pendergrass is an R&B soul singer and songwriter who started his career as a drummer for The Cadillacs which eventually led to being a lead singer with Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. With hits such as “I Miss You” and “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” they were instant hits. Teddy Pendergrass later went solo and released songs called “Turn off the Lights” and “Close the Door” which he was most famous for. Teddy Pendergrass was a five time Grammy nominee for his soulful songs that you can hear on vinyl.
