Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes
Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes were one of the most famous groups to emerge from the Philadelphia soul scene. In addition to their founder, Harold Melvin, the Blue Notes helped launch the career of drummer and singer Teddy Pendergrass. Their hits, such as “The Love I Lost”, “Bad Luck” and “Don’t Leave Me This Way” have gone on to be some of the most famed soul/R&B music ever written. Hear these selections of soul classics on vinyl, where the highs are higher, the lows are lower, and the vocals are sweeter. Enjoy!
