On The Corner by Miles Davis was released in 1972. The album mixes several styles of music including rock, funk, fusion, jazz, and electronic. On The Corner was originally released on the Columbia record label, and was produced by Teo Macero. It also featured appearances by several noted musicians including Herbie Hancock, Paul Buckmaster, John McLaughlin, and Chick Corea. The album has since been re-mastered and re-released on the legacy label. The original album consisted of four songs that had different parts to them. Some of the re-released CDs separate these into eight tracks. When originally released, On the corner was one of Davis’ worst selling albums.
