Transition
The Transition album was released by one of the greatest jazz saxophonists by the name of John Coltrane. The Transition album was recorded in 1965, but it was released after John Coltrane had passed away. Just as the title of the album suggests, this album marked the transition between the earlier works of John Coltrane and the classic quartet recordings. The remarkable thing about this album is that it alternated between blues idioms and free jazz. This album featured three other jazz artists who included McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones. The four artists blended together due to there different approaches when it came to Jazz music.
