J.J. Johnson
J.J. Johnson was a famous jazz trombonist, arranger, and composer. With flawless precision, he was one of the first trombonists to play bebop music. J.J. Johnson had an incredible influence on upcoming jazz musicians as well. He has recorded many jazz standards such as “Wee Dot,” “Enigma,” and “Lament.” Eventually he was voted into Down Beat’s Hall of Fame and led a very successful career up until his death in 2001. Listening to J.J. Johnson on vinyl is truly an incredible experience.
