    Arrested DevelopmentArrested Development took hip hop rap into a whole new direction when they popped onto the scene with their positive, Afro-centric alternative to the “gangsta” rap that was getting to be very popular in the early 1990’s. Their hits such as “Tennessee” and “Mr. Wendal” were huge and gained a lot of notoriety for their type of music. Arrested Development went on to win a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and were named Band of the Year in 1992. Still making music today internationally, Arrested Development is a great band to listen to on vinyl.
