Arlo Guthrie
One of the best American folk singers ever to live, Arlo Guthrie sang songs of protest against social injustice. His unbelievable song “Alice’s Restaurant Massacree” was an 18 minutes talking blues song that had a satirical feel to it with his protest of the Vietnam War draft, which is based on a real life incident. “Alice’s Restaurant” is an absolute must hear song that can only be experienced on vinyl. It became a symbol of the 1960’s and was in frequent rotation on nearly every counter culture radio station and college station in the country.
