Jean Sibelius
Johan Julius Christian “Jean” Sibelius was one of the most notable composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This Finnish composer played an important role in national identity of Finland with his hit set of seven symphonies. His best composition, Finlandia and The Swan of Tuonela still inspire composers today, and sound absolutely amazing on vinyl. With a wide array of work including 100 songs for voice and piano, incidental music, as well as chamber music and an opera, Jean Sibelius was a true developer of new music in his time.
