As the most famous 16th century representative of the Roman School of musical composition, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina was an Italian composer of the Renaissance. Palestrina created hundreds of beautifully harmonized compositions in his lifetime. Missa sine nomine was one of particular interest of Johann Sebastian Bach. You can hear many of his masses, offertories, motets, hymns and litanies on vinyl where they sound simply amazing.
