Claude Debussy
Claude Debussy, a French classical composer, is considered to this day to be one of the most important composers in all of European music. Prominent in the field of Impressionist music, Debussy was a leader in the transition of late Romantic music to 20th century modernist music. In this period of Symbolism, Debussy directly inspired this movement and the music that charmed the people of this time. His most famous pieces included “Pelleas et Melisande” and of course the always popular “La Mer” which is simply heavenly to listen to on vinyl.
