    With music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Evita is a popular musical that is based on the biography “The Woman with the Whip” and explores the life of political leader Eva Peron. Initially beginning as a concept album in 1976, the success of the music led to musical productions in London and on Broadway. It was also made into a film starring Madonna which won an Oscar Award. The music of Evita is extremely moving, especially when you hear it on vinyl. Songs such as “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” and “Buenos Aires” have reached critical acclaim, as has the musical itself.
