    John Denver, an American country and folk music singer and songwriter, was considered by most to be a superstar among his genre. As one of the most popular acoustic artists of the 1970’s, John Denver released about 300 songs, with half of them being composed by himself. With hits such as “Leaving on a Jet Plane” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” he was even named Poet Laureate of Colorado in 1977. His popularity can never be forgotten as he was one of the true folk music singers ever to live. With several Grammy, CMA, and even an Emmy Award, when you listen to John Denver on vinyl you can understand why his voice made him so famous.
