Ludwig van Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven was a classical composer born in 1770. He started his musical career working with Joseph Haydn in Vienna, and quickly gained notice as a virtuoso pianist and composer. Beethoven began losing his hearing during his 20’s, yet he continued to compose and perform, even after going completely deaf. Beethoven is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time, and remains highly influential even to this day. Beethoven’s symphonies are masterpieces, and are the musical equivalent of a wall-sized mural. There are so many textures and colors, and there are so many ways to view (listen) to it. Hearing this music on vinyl is much more satisfying than listening on any other medium. Check out the selections below to be blown away…
