Edward Elgar
As an English romantic composer, Sir Edward Elgar was one of the best of his time. His works such as “Enigma: Variations” and “Pomp and Circumstance Marches” were widely acclaimed. Edward Elgar also composed chamber music, symphonies, and oratorios before he was appointed Master of the King’s Musick in 1924. He was also instrumental in the tutelage of other prodigy’s such as Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. Although his reviews may have not have been outstanding, his works, which are great to listen to on vinyl, are considered some of the best ever made in his industry.
