The Stooges
The Stooges, a rock band that played mostly from 1967 to 1974, have gone through a series of ups and downs in their career. Even thought they had very indifferent fans they are regarded as a huge influence in alternative rock, heavy metal rock and punk rock. The singer Iggy Pop is known for his outrageous performances and his unique style of singing. Recently they reunited with a new band member to produce the album “The Weirdness” which was critically acclaimed. Although their style of music was a little out there for the time period in which they played, you can’t help but recognize the importance of it now when you hear it on vinyl.
