John Lennon
As famous for his death as he is for his life, John Lennon first achieved fame as one of the Beatles. He then went solo after the breakup of the Beatles, and continued to be an influential performer and recording artist. His activist nature led him to write some of rock’s greatest classics like “Give Peach a Chance” and “Imagine.” Sadly, he was murdered one month after his comeback album “Milk and Honey” after a short retirement. Bestowed with huge honors both as a Beatle and as a solo artist, John Lennon was ranked #38 on the list of “The Immortals: The Fifty Greatest Artists of All Time” and the Beatles as a group were ranked #1. Whether you love the Beatles or his solo work, they both sound fabulous on vinyl.
