NoFX
With roots in the L.A. hardcore punk scene of the 1980s, NOFX rose to the top of the punk ranks in 1994 with their gold-selling fifth LP, Punk in Drublic – now considered a seminal punk album. Founded by singer/bassist Fat Mike, guitarist Eric Melvin, and drummer Erik Sandin, NOFX became a four-piece in 1991 with the addition of El Hefe on guitar and trumpet. Over the course of their 25-plus year career, NOFX have released 11 full-length studio albums, 16 EPs, and plenty of 7-inchs; they have poked fun at politicians, the music industry, and themselves; they have rejected MTV and major labels; kept the punk spirit alive with their vinyl-only releases; and remain one of the most successful independent bands of all time.
