Kiss
Kiss is one of the great hard rock groups that emerged in the 1970’s. What set Kiss apart from so many performers of the day was their performances. While many of the bands from the 70’s were going for a more progressive sound, Kiss was just about good, catchy songs, and over-the-top live performances. The members of the band were famous for their makeup and onstage personalities: Gene Simmons was the “Demon”, Paul Stanley was the “Star Child”, Ace Frehley was the “Space Ace”, and Peter Criss was the “Cat Man”. Kiss released dozens of albums over their long career, and has had much commercial success through merchandising. You have to hear Kiss on vinyl to be transported back to their glory days of the 1970’s.
