Kurtis Blow
Kurtis Blow is one of the first commercially successful rappers during the 1980’s hip hop movement. He was the first to sight with a major label and is considered to be a hip hop classic. Kurtis Blow came out in a huge way with his song “The Breaks” which broke into the top 5 of the Billboard’s R&B chart which was a huge accomplishment back then. He has since come out with 8 albums and is still considered to be hugely influential in hip hop music. Kurtis Blow sounds so cool on vinyl; you have to hear it!
