Herbie Hancock
Herbie Hancock has been one of the most commercially successful jazz musicians ever. While still young during the post-bop, modal phase of jazz, Herbie was one of the most influential members of the Jazz-Funk-Rock fusion movement. His “Chameleon” is one of the greatest Jazz/Funk compositions ever written. More recently, his album “River: The Joni Letters” earned him the album of the year in 2007. Herbie Hancock sounds great on vinyl. From his early “Watermelon Man”, to his funky “Sly”, Herbie Hancock is one of the most inventive jazz musicians ever. Check these out for some serious aural pleasure!
