Cabaret
Cabaret is a wonderful musical that originally went to Broadway in 1966. It was an instant hit, not only with the fans but with the critics as well. Set in 1931, Cabaret was based on the play “I Am a Camera” and formed around the seedy Kit Kat Klub. The music of Cabaret was also successful, both with the original cast album which sounds great on vinyl, as well as the movie soundtrack of the same name with Liza Minnelli. With many songs being written and edited as time went on, many of the albums have different music that will really thrill you with songs such as “Maybe This Time” and “If You Could See Her.”
