Sex Pistols
The Sex Pistols were the defining band of the UK’s punk movement. They enjoyed a very short career in the later 1970’s with bass player Sid Vicious. The Sex Pistols were not so much about music, but more about certain punk-rock principles, including rebellion, anarchy, and a disregard for over-produced rock music that was popular at the time. The Sex Pistols were constantly shrouded in controversy, which while causing them problems during their peak, solidified their position as the ultimate punk band. The Sex Pistols’ raw, energetic sound is best heard on vinyl.
