The Cure
As an English rock band, The Cure is still very well known around the world. Formed in 1976, The Cure was known for their gloomy and introspective lyrics that signified the look and feel of the band. Going through a myriad of music styles such as post punk and new wave, The Cure became increasingly dark and moved into the gothic rock genre where they put out their famous album “Pornography.” Again they changed to pop and came out with one of their most successful albums to date “Let’s Go to Bed.” The Cure was one of the first alternative rock bands to have commercial success in an era before alternative rock even was popular but whether you like their earlier or later albums, they all sound great on vinyl.
