The Rascals
Originally known as The Young Rascals, The Rascals were an American soul and rock group of the 1960’s. With songs that sound great on vinyl, such as “Mustang Sally” and “People Got To Be Free” The Rascals were only modest hits until they came out with the song “Groovin” which carried them easily to the number one spot. They had an innovative use of Jazz and Latin instrumental arrangements that weren’t heard in popular music before and it made for the distinctive sound that they are known so much for.
