Keith Richards
Dubbed “Mr. Rock and Roll,” Keith Richards is one of the founding members of the Rolling Stones and one of the best blues-based rhythm guitarists in rock. Influenced by Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters, Richards adopted a style of interwoven lead and rhythm guitar, and primarily uses open chord tunings drawn from Delta blues. An equally accomplished songwriter, his longtime partnership with Mick Jagger has produced countless hits for the Rolling Stones and earned Richards a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Richards has also released a handful of solo albums with the “X-Pensive Winos” and recorded on albums from a long list of artists including Aretha Franklin, Tom Waits, and Ziggy Marley. His guitar riffs are some of rock’s greatest [see: “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”] and oh-so satisfying on vinyl!
