Tom Morello
Tom Morello is best known for his role as guitarist in the influential rap-metal band Rage Against the Machine and the alt-rock supergroup Audioslave; however, since 2003 Morello has been playing political folk music as his alterego the Nightwatchman. Mostly acoustic, this solo project was inspired by early Bob Dylan records and Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, as well as Morello’s inner activist, which has been without a political outlet since Rage Against the Machine disbanded in 2000. True to form, Morello started by playing the Los Angeles coffeehouse circuit and has since graduated to national stages and huge benefit concerts. Considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Morello is guaranteed to bring something exemplary to the table—and the wax—no matter what he does.
