    Pulp is the ultimate Brit-pop band. Formed in Sheffield in 1978 and fronted by the charismatic, skinny-tied Jarvis Cocker, Pulp hit it big in the mid-’90s with the song “Common People.” Featuring an epic chorus and witty narrative, this has become a dancefloor anthem and epitomizes the band’s disco-glam meets pop-rock sound. Releasing seven albums before disbanding in 2002, Pulp remains an essential part of any dance party. I dare you not to join in when listening to them on vinyl.
