    Fronted by Courtney Love, the widow of Kurt Cobain, Hole is grunge-rock royalty. The band’s iconic 1994 album Live Through This helped define the era and is still considered one of the greatest albums of all time. Hole is also one of the few bands that outlived grunge, embracing a more pop-oriented sound as the decade progressed and releasing its most commercially successful album, Celebrity Skin, in 1998. Though the group disbanded in 2002, after which Love and the band’s only other consistent member guitarist Eric Erlandson pursued solo careers, Love reformed Hole with a new line-up in 2009 and released the album Nobody’s Daughter in 2010. From its early noise rock days to its recent rebirth, Hole is explosive on vinyl.
