Toto
Toto was formed in 1977 by some of the most in-demand session musicians at the time: keyboardist David Paich, guitarist Steve Lukather, drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, keyboardist Steve Porcaro (Jeff’s brother), and S.S. Fools singer Bobby Kimball. They found success with their first single “Hold the Line” and went on to become one of the most commercially successful groups of the early ’80s with hits like “Africa” and “Rosanna.” With a sound that was not only highly influential on mainstream pop but cleverly encompassed rock, soul, funk, prog, hard rock, R&B, and jazz, Toto is a treat on vinyl.
