Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks has one of the most distinct personas and voices in music. Her mystical aesthetic is both sonic and visual, and what helped make a little British blues-rock band called Fleetwood Mac superstars in the ’70s. She wrote and sang their classic songs “Dreams,” “Rhiannon,” “Gypsy,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and the oft-covered “Landslide.” Nicks has also enjoyed a successful solo career, releasing her solo debut, Bella Donna, in 1981. Bella Donna topped the charts with the hit single “Edge of Seventeen” and features some great duets with the likes of Don Henley (“Leather and Lace”) and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (“Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around”). Nicks’ sophomore solo album, The Wild Heart, followed in 1983 and features her classic song “Stand Back.” Remaining a compelling force in music to this day, Stevie Nicks is an essential artist in any vinyl collection.
