Bread
Featuring the songwriting duo of keyboardist/vocalist David Gates and guitarist/vocalist James Griffin, Bread was one of the most popular soft-rock groups of the 1970s. The band enjoyed a string of hits between 1970 and 1973 including the Top-10 singles “Make It with You,” “It Don’t Matter to Me,” “If,” “Baby I’m-a Want You,” and “Everything I Own.” Tensions led Bread to disband in 1973, after which Gates and Griffin pursued solo careers. Reuniting in 1976, Bread’s comeback album Lost Without Your Love produced the band’s last Top-10 hit with its title track, and was Bread’s seventh consecutive album to be certified gold. Without a doubt, Bread is a classic on vinyl.
