    As an original member of the group “The Moonglows” in the late 50’s, Marvin Gaye was best known for his solo artistry as a singer, songwriter, drummer, pianist and instrumentalist. As one of the top selling solo artists for Motown Records, Marvin Gaye had huge hits with “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).” Crowned “The Prince of Motown” Marvin Gaye took his album “Let’s Get It On” and proved that he was not just like the other African American singers that they wanted him to be. He inspired many different musical genres like urban adult contemporary and slow jam. He won numerous Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame posthumously. “Sexual Healing”, is one of his most popular songs is still great to listen to on vinyl today.
