Booker T. and the M.G.’s
Booker T. & the M.G.’s were an instrumental soul band that made success for themselves in the 60’s and 70’s. With a mixture of Memphis soul, they were the first racially integrated bands in popular music. Known the best for their instrumental hit “Green Onions” Booker T. & the M.G.’s originated the unique “Stax” sound. Respected by many other musicians, Booker T. & the M.G.’s still sound great on vinyl today.
