John Mayer
John Mayer is one of the most popular singer-songwriters of the 21st century, and according to Time Magazine one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2007. From his 2001 breakthrough debut Room for Squares and its hit single “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” to his latest album, 2009’s Battle Studies, which debuted at No. 1, Mayer has won a total of seven Grammy Awards and racked up 18 nominations. Beginning his career as a sensitive acoustic rocker, he expanded his sound to incorporate blues while still maintaining his position on the charts. He has also collaborated with legends like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Eric Clapton, and toured alongside jazz icon Herbie Hancock. In addition to his songwriting skills, Mayer has earned recognition for his guitar chops and has even been given his own signature line of acoustic guitars from Martin Guitars and signature Stratocasters from Fender.
