    Born Corey Woods and also known as “The Chef,” Raekwon is a New York MC best known for his role in the Wu-Tang Clan. He launched a solo career in 1994 and has released five solo albums to date: Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… (1995), Immobilarity (1999), The Lex Diamond Story (2003), Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II (2009), and Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang (2011). These feature collaborations with various Wu-Tang members including Ghostface Killah and RZA, as well as producers Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, and J Dilla. Whether solo or with Wu-Tang, Raekwon’s lyrical rapping is as fresh in 2011 as it was in 1992, and he continues to inspire young MCs and keep the East Coast hardcore “Mafioso rap” genre alive.
