    Drake is a Canadian rapper and actor who made a name for himself in the hip-hop world with his underground mixtapes. After the singles “Best I Ever Had” and “Successful” featuring Trey Songz from his third mixtape, So Far Gone, made their way to radio, MTV named the tape “The Hottest Mixtape of 2009 (So Far).” This sparked one of the biggest bidding wars ever, and when Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later, was released in 2010 on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label, it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His sophomore album, Take Care, was released in Fall 2011. In addition to working with artists including Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, and Jay-Z, Drake has written for Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre and been nominated for several Grammys. He’s also graduated from free mp3 downloads to vinyl LPs.
