Kraftwerk
Kraftwerk, which means power plant in German, was an influential electronic music band from Germany. They had a unique sound that included electronically generated rhythms which weren’t heard previously. They used computer speech software which was almost unheard of at the time. Listening to their songs such as “Radio Activity” and “Tour de France” on vinyl you can really hear their distinctive and influential sound. Crossing nearly all genres of popular music, Kraftwerk was both critically and commercially acclaimed.
