Carl Lee Perkins, a pioneer of rockabilly music, was an outstanding performer in his day. With a distinctive mixture of rhythm and blues along with country music, Carl Lee Perkins’ best known song is “Blue Suede Shoes” which he wrote for Elvis to record. Not one to rest, Carl Perkins also wrote songs for Johnny Cash and The Beatles.
