Franz Schubert
As one of the best unknowns in classical music, Franz Peter Schubert was a composer in Austria. Throughout his career he wrote more than 600 lieder, nine symphonies, as well as operas, chamber and piano music, and liturgical music. The famous “Unfinished Symphony” is considered his best work, although it wasn’t heard very much during his lifetime. It wasn’t until after he died that his music was heard around the world. Now considered to be one of the greatest composers in Western tradition, you can hear his most famous piece on vinyl.
