Chicago
Set in the prohibition era of Chicago, the musical Chicago is a satire on corruption and based on a 1926 play of the same name about actual criminals and the crimes that a reporter spoke about. Opening in 1975, Chicago was not only known for its choreography by famed choreographer Bob Fosse, but also for its powerful musical score. Its latest revival has run for over 5,000 performances since it reopened in 1996. The songs were made famous in the movie of the same name that was released in 2005. These songs such as “All That Jazz” and “Roxie” sound unbelievable on vinyl.
